Information about village improvement and maintenance

Village improvement and maintenance in Potterspury is carried out by a number of groups and volunteers.

The village verges and open spaces are mowed by contractors appointed by the Parish Council, and long-term improvement plans are drawn up by the Village Improvement Committee (VIC), which is a Parish Council working group.

The Environmental Co-ordinators, Andrew Stockton and Jon Millidge, clear up fallen trees and branches around the village.

Mill Pond Conservation Area In 2016 the Wintle family, formerly long-term residents of Potterspury made a very generous gift of land to the village. Formerly the village mill pond, this two-acre plot is being managed as a conservation area for the enjoyment of the village. It remains a work in progress – more details of the work is here.
